Family Events Galleries 2020 Ranil's Visit Ranil Mallawarachchi, an old Naladian and the son of singer Milton Mallawarachchi, visited us for the 3rd time to take part in a scheduled concert in Toronto. However the show was cancelled due to CoVid and he had to return to Australia before lockdown. He stayed with Rajinda Gunasena and was later hosted for a get-together at Ajith Perera's residence before his departure. 2019 Mahela's Visit Mahela Jayawardena also know as Mr. Masterclass is without a doubt the best cricketer produced by our school. He visited Toronto for the second time, as a brand ambassador for a T20 tournament held in the summer of 2019. We had the pleasure of meeting a few times and host him for a dinner during his stay. 2019 Family Picnic The family picnic in 2019 saw us show off our new tent and flags, along with a BBQ that the OBA provided on top of the Lunch packets. It was held at the Bruce's Mill Conservation park with a good participation from members and family, who enjoyed a great summer day. 2016 Family Picnic 2012 Mrs.Weerasinghe's Visit Mrs. Rohini Weerasinghe is another past teacher from Nalanda who visited us in Toronto. Mrs. Weerasinghe was visiting our first President Nihal Jayasinghe, who had played cricket at Nalanda with her husband Chandrasiri Weerasinghe. They, along with the Mr. & Mrs. Jayasinghe were hosted by some of our members for dinner at Rajinda Gunasena's residence. 2007 A.T. Ariyaratne Visit Mr. A.T. Ariyaratne the founder of Sarvodya Movement is also a former teacher at our school. In 2007 he visited Toronto and some of the OBA members met him at then President Lucky Jayawardena's residence to host him for a dinner. 2006 Family Picnic 1999 Mr. Gunasinghe's Visit Mr. Dharma Gunasinghe, was a tall lanky figure most of us knew and feared as he roamed around the junior section with a cane in his hand, hidden behind him who later became the Principal of our school from 1982-1990. In 1999 He made a visit to Toronto, Ontario and these are some of the pictures we took with our loving Principal during his stay.
