Annual Family Picnic
After a long winter in Canada, all our members look forward to enjoying the warm weather in outdoors, with their family. Our Association has organized full day outings in Parks in the city where the families can enjoy various activities such as games, music and food. These picnics always have fun activities and games for member’s kids, as well as for the spouses to join with their partners. Lime & Spoon Races, Sack Races, 3 Legged Races, Badminton, Tug-O-War and soft ball cricket are just a few of the activities at this event.
Families bring their food to share with others, and the OBA organizes the main lunch or a BBQ, while the entertainment is always provided one of the many talented Nalandian members such as Sampath Edirisinghe. Few times we have also joined and organized this event with Anandians as well as with the Vishakians and Devians!
