Ramesh's family lived close proximity to Nalanda and he was lucky enough to join the school as a kindergartner in 1977. He played cricket throughout his years, and ended up Captaining the 1989 team which became the Best Schools Team in the country. He belongs to the 89 batch, the same year he also won the Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer competition in 1989, A Banker by profession he worked in UAE, before moving to Canada in 2012, when he joined the OBA.
